Quick update... feature list is now frozen for R1 and we're walking through the remaining items. The architecture is being pushed, and the investment in the foundation is proving itself over and over again.

We're bringing up the editor right now. This is in-engine, live, interactive, multi-modal, and cooperative. VScape regions (and objects within them) can be edited while you are online, your friends can watch, and your friends can help. We're wiring an enterprise class role based authorization service into the editor.

At its simplest, this allows a checkbox in your buddy list to say who can enter your region, drag stuff around, ect. At its most complex, you can manage groups with privileges of insane granularity - full grant / deny hierarchies that can be applied down to per object texturing, or other silly levels.

Translation from geek to English: What this means is game creation in VScape can constitute a bunch of avatars walking around building the levels as they go while discussing strategy, throwing things at each other, etc. At the same time a group of testers can follow the editors around and try out each element as it is built.

The impact on game authoring is left as an exercise to the reader.
