Work continues towards R1.  We are working on the user apartments and avatars now, and should have screenshots soon.  We're were hoping to have R1 ready by the end of December, but we're not going to release it until its ready.  We aren't letting any new features creep into the R1 feature list, but its still pretty ambitious.  The good news is the majority of the infrastructure needed to build R1 on is done, but there are a bunch of client features we need to finish before it's ready for anyone but a tester.

We've also done another bug scrub - we gave the test client to a few people from the board and let them play around.  This turned up a few bugs we had missed, all of which are now fixed.  The certificate server has been online for a few months now, and we're about to deploy two more server clusters.

Human animation work is accelerating, and we could use someone with experience in facial expression modeling - anyone with interest and skills in this area ping us on the message board!
